I can't afford to get my four impacted wisdom teeth removed in the states, and a few people keep telling me to try Mexico. It makes sense because I live so close to the border. It also appears the cost are over 70% less in Tiajuana.
Canada or Costa Rica are not options, since the travel costs of going there would negate the cheaper cost of dental care.
Sorry but that would be too risky for me
Is it safe to go to Mexico for dental care?

I just saw a new report saying that the mexico dental office will advertise if they hold up to USA standards as well. Just research where you go and it is suppose to be 1/3 of the USA Price.. I would think it was fine.

Personally, i wouldn't. Tiajuana is not the 'nicest' place in mexico to go. My brother in law is from Mexico and lived there most of his life, recently he had to go to Tiajuana for something and said he had never been so scared to be in his own country. But if your willing and that desperate, i'm sure you can find dentists to do just as good of work, just be sure to do your research first.

We had a friend who did the same. She was self employed and therefore didn't have dental insurance, so went to a dentist in TJ. If you speak Spanish and know somebody who can give you a reference whom you trust, I say go for it!

I wouldn't take the chance , you may end up in a brothel somewhere in South America when you wake up, try Canada if cost is an issue. Most Dentists will work out a payment plan with you here also. Good luck

Have you ever heard the phrase:
You get what you pay for.

I would be enough afraid to get off the plane in Mexico City, not even mentioning about entering the dental office. Forget it.
