Where can I find good-quality, reasonably priced dental care south of the border?

I’ve run into more and more people who are combining medical care with vacation, in order to avoid outrageously priced procedures in the U.S. I’m trying to find good leads (to avoid quacks) for root canal work and fillings in Mexico, Costa Rica, etc. Language is not a problem. Does anyone have experience with this?
