A dentist performed unnecessary work on me and misrepresented additional work that needed to be done. When I got a second, and third, opinion, these other dentists negated what the unethical dentist had put me through. The ADA won't accept any consumer complaints. Any suggestions to ensure others are protected against this unfortunate "dentist"?
*****Call the local news station and ask them to do an expose! You may also want to contact the Better Business Bureau!
Your insurance company will be REALLY interested as well!
How do I report an unethical, scamming dentist? Is there any governing body or watchdog association?

What state are you from. Every state has a Dental State Board of Dental Examiner. You can visit the website, navigate through the website and they should tell you how to file a complaint. There should be a number to call if you cant find the right info.

You can also complain to your state's education department, since that's where your dentist got his license from….and your state's dental board.
The PDF forms can be downloaded directly from the sites. Fill them out, make copies and send them return receipt requested.
Just make sure your complaint is legit. Good luck.
